Factors affecting the loss of resin grinding wheel molds

Jun 24, 2023

Grinding wheels will inevitably experience wear and tear during use. In fact, users are aware that grinding wheels themselves are consumables, and what we are concerned about is the speed of grinding wheel wear and the degree of wear and tear.
(1) The material selection of the main working parts of the mold is improper. Poor material performance and lack of wear resistance; The mold steel has not been refined and has a large number of smelting defects; The forging process for convex and concave molds and forging blanks is not perfect, and there are residual heat treatment hazards.
(2) The design of the mold structure is an issue, and the structure of the stamping die is unreasonable. There is no reinforcement device designed for the slender punch, resulting in clumping at the discharge port, and excessive discharge force exacerbating the punch's ability to withstand alternating loads.
(3) The imperfect mold making process is mainly manifested in the poor internal quality of convex and concave forging blanks, as well as problems with heat treatment technology and process, resulting in incomplete quenching of convex and concave molds, soft spots, and uneven hardness. Sometimes micro cracks or even cracks occur, grinding and polishing are not in place, and the surface roughness value is too large.
(4) Without lubrication or with lubrication but with poor effectiveness.
