Safety operation procedures for cutting wheels

Jul 04, 2025

Safety operation procedures for cutting wheels include pre-operation preparation, operation process and post-operation processing.

Pre-operation preparation
Check whether the appearance of the cutting wheel has cracks, gaps and other defects to ensure that it is firmly installed; check whether the power line of the equipment is intact and whether the protective devices such as protective covers are complete and effective; clean the operation area, keep it clean and free of debris, with sufficient light and good ventilation.
Operators wear protective equipment such as goggles, gloves, work clothes, etc.

Operation process
Confirm that no one is close to the equipment before starting, and start it in a safe position.
During operation, keep both hands in a safe area to avoid contact with the cutting wheel. Feed the material steadily. If the equipment has abnormal sound, vibration or odor, stop the machine immediately for inspection.

Post-operation processing
After cutting, turn off the power, wait until the cutting wheel stops rotating completely, clean the equipment with special tools, and avoid direct contact with the cutting wheel.
Perform regular maintenance, check the wear of the cutting wheel, and replace it in time; lubricate and inspect the transmission system of the equipment.
