1. Classification by purpose
General-purpose cutting wheel: It can be used for cutting a variety of materials, but its accuracy and efficiency in cutting special materials may not be as good as that of special cutting wheels. For example, it can be used to cut some ordinary metal sheets and some soft plastics, etc. It has a wide range of applications and is suitable for home hand-made or some small repair operations that do not require high precision.
Glass cutting wheel: It is specially designed for cutting glass. Diamond cutter wheels are typical glass cutting wheels. Glass cutting wheels have high requirements for the sharpness and hardness of the blade. Because glass is brittle, the cutting wheel needs to accurately form cutting marks on the glass surface during the cutting process, while not causing excessive extrusion of the glass to cause cracks. The blade of the diamond cutter wheel is a sharp ridge formed by the intersection of two conical surfaces. This blade structure can effectively cut glass and is widely used in high-precision cutting of glass panels such as mobile phones, tablet computers, and car-mounted LCD display panel glass at home and abroad, as well as cutting of automotive glass, optical or decorative glass, medical supplies glass and other products.
Metal cutting wheel: It is used to cut various metal materials. Different metal cutting wheels are suitable for different metal types and cutting methods. For example, cutting wheels made of high-speed steel are suitable for cutting low-hardness metals such as aluminum and copper, while cutting wheels made of carbide are suitable for cutting metal materials with higher hardness, such as steel and iron. In metal processing and manufacturing enterprises, metal cutting wheels are widely used in processing links such as steel cutting and metal pipe cutting.
Stone cutting wheel: widely used in stone mining and processing, such as for cutting marble, granite and other stones. Stone cutting wheels usually need to have higher hardness and wear resistance, because the texture of stone is hard, and the wear on the cutting wheel is greater during cutting.
2. According to the structure
Integral cutting wheel: It is an integral disc-shaped structure with the advantages of simple structure and firmness. It is widely used in general cutting tasks. For example, most of the cutting wheels on ordinary manual cutting tools are integral.
Combined cutting wheel: It is composed of multiple components. This cutting wheel can flexibly adjust the components according to different cutting needs. For example, multi-layer wire wheels can be superimposed to improve cutting efficiency and accuracy. In a multi-wire cutting machine, the combined use of multiple layers of wire wheels can greatly increase the cutting speed and cutting depth, while reducing the temperature of the hot melt water tank, which can greatly improve the working efficiency and production quality of the multi-wire cutting machine.
